Greek Ethnic School

Our Greek Ethnic Language School operates every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon during the school year in the new School Building adjacent to the Church. Students from prep. to year 12 enrich their lives and their identity through the study of the Greek language, history & culture, as well as their Orthodox faith. Students usually begin classes by the time they have reached year 2 in their day school, and may continue their studies right through to High School. Our school is also pleased to offer Senior Modern Greek studies to students in either years 11 or 12 in their day school as an accredited contribution to their Senior Certificate and OP.

Our teachers are very experienced and utilise the set curriculum framework as well as the application of textbooks according to year level. Teachers also prepare special activities and lessons centered around certain religious and cultural celebrations throughout the year. Students also have the opportunity to enrich their learning through the use of computers kindly donated by Parishioners.

For more information on our Greek Ethnic School please contact the Greek School Coordinator, Mrs Danae Kyprianou on 3398 7850.

Greek Dance School

Our Parish operates a Dance School each Monday evening where students in both Primary and High School undertake lessons in traditional Greek dances. The Dance Group is dedicated to promoting, encouraging and perpetuating the Greek heritage and culture among youth through expression in traditional dance. The program is one of many outreach activities for the youth of our Parish, serving to create greater communication and stronger ties through interaction. Our dance group participates in many performances throughout the year i.e. Greek Festivals (the 'Paniyiri' & 'Greek Affair'), national celebrations, and community functions.
